Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Big Sandy Property Damages ("the Portal," "we," "us"), an internal application operated by Big Sandy Superstore, collects and uses information. The Portal is a private business tool used by Big Sandy employees, operators, and delivery partners to create and manage property-damage delivery claims. It is not a consumer product and is not intended for the general public.
Information we collect
- Google account information (Sign in with Google). When an employee signs in with their company Google account, we receive their name, email address, and basic profile information from Google. We use this only to verify that the person is a current Big Sandy employee (by company email domain) and to identify who performed actions in the Portal.
- Account credentials. For staff, operator, and delivery-partner accounts that sign in with a username and password, we store a securely hashed password and two-factor authentication settings.
- Claim information. Information entered or generated while managing claims, which may include customer names, contact details, delivery and product details, photos, notes, and related correspondence.
- Usage and security logs. Standard records such as sign-in events and IP addresses, kept to operate and secure the Portal.
How we use information
- To authenticate and authorize employees, operators, and delivery partners.
- To create, manage, resolve, and report on property-damage claims.
- To send claim-related notifications (for example, email and SMS updates).
- To secure the Portal and prevent unauthorized access.
Google user data — Limited Use
The Portal's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We request only basic identity scopes (your email address and basic profile). We use this data solely to authenticate employees and identify Portal activity. We do not sell it, use it for advertising, or transfer it to third parties except as needed to provide the Portal or as required by law.
How information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Portal — for example Google (sign-in), our email provider, and our SMS provider (Twilio) — and only as needed to deliver those services, or when required by law.
Data retention & security
Claim records are retained as needed for business and legal purposes. Google sign-in identity is retained while the corresponding employee account is active; when an employee leaves and their company Google account is disabled, their access to the Portal ends automatically. Information is protected with encrypted (HTTPS) connections, access restricted to authorized company email domains, and two-factor authentication for staff accounts.
Your choices
Employees access the Portal using employer-provided accounts. Questions about your information, or requests related to it, should be directed to your administrator using the contact below.
